Kate Bussell, the Assistant Branch Manager of PTS (Plumbing Trade Supplies) at Mochdre Commerce Parc, crossed the London Marathon finish line on 25th April in seven hours and 38 minutes, not only raising over £1,100 for the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) but completing her biggest fundraising achievement so far.

Before tackling the UK's most famous test of endurance, Kate had only completed a twenty mile run around Wigan and two ten kilometre marathons, so crossing the finish line of the London Marathon has been her greatest charity challenge to date. Kate completed the 26 mile run with her father for the FSID, a charity which is close to her family's heart. FSID is the UK's leading infant charity aiming to prevent unexpected deaths, promoting healthy children and supporting bereaved parents.

Kate raised her sponsorship with the help of PTS Colwyn Bay customers who generously donated spare change on their daily trip to the trade counter. Kate also set up a competition for customers to guess her final running time, which saw Roy Highton Plumbing & Heating win a case of beer for their efforts.

Kate said: "FSID is a very important charity to me and my family, so it seemed fitting to really push myself and go the extra mile to complete the London Marathon in their honour. I'm incredibly thankful to all those who have helped me to raise such a massive amount of money and I hope it will make a real difference to the very worthy cause the FSID supports."

Kate is still working towards a total of £1,500 for her chosen charity. You can donate at www.justgiving.com/miss_kt_busell. PTS Colwyn Bay is located at Unit 2b, Mochdre Commerce Parc, Mochdre, Colwyn Bay, LL28 5HX. For further information call them on 01492 525000.
