PTS comes to the rescue in Cromer
11 March 2010
PTS, the leading plumbing and heating merchant, has come to the aid of Mundesley’s Lifeboat team by supplying them with 17 jackets free of charge.
Warehouse operative and driver Wayne Ellis, has been a member of the life saving team for six years. He approached his employees at PTS Cromer for the donation as the team battled the extreme weather conditions and freezing cold temperatures over the winter months. Wayne said: "My dad was on the lifeboat crew before me so I've grown up surrounded by the team and understand its importance. Our work is vital to the local community so we're really pleased that PTS has got behind us to supply some new kit."
Paul Dallimore, PTS Cromer Branch Manager, said: "We knew that Wayne was part of the Lifeboat crew and we are all aware of the fantastic work they do to keep the general public safe. We hope that these jackets will keep them warm and safe when they are out saving the lives of others."
