PTS Trade Counter Rep Tackles Mountains For NSPCC

12 October 2009

Frankie Durham from PTS in Chippenham has reason to be proud after successfully completing the NSPCC’s first ever HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Children) in Wales.

Frankie, a trade counter assistant at PTS Chippenham, completed the 25 mile walk around the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales with his partner Rachel Allen to raise over £500 for NSPCC projects and services for children and young people across the UK and Channel Islands.

Frankie said: "We managed to complete the walk in less than 11 hours, which is really good going for our first attempt at a challenge on this scale. It was very tough at times but well worth it for such a worthy cause. Myself and Rachel would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us through sponsorship."

PTS named the NSPCC as its partner charity at the start of 2008. By continuing its money raising campaign, PTS aims to help vulnerable children and young people at risk of cruelty in the UK.
