PTS continues to expand its renewable energy expertise

PTS has appointed Ian Stares as Product Group Manager for renewable and sustainable energy products. This new role has been created to allow PTS to develop its renewable energy offering even further - providing customers with increased choice and advice on these increasingly popular products.

With extensive experience of technology such as heat pumps, photo voltaic, solar thermal, biomass and micro combined heat and power. Ian will play a vital role in supporting the provision of these products across PTS' 300 nationwide branches. Ian will also provide product awareness training for both PTS staff and customers, as the leading merchant continues to offer installers a more comprehensive service.

Nigel Gamble, Commercial Director, said: "Renewable energy technology is an area of the industry which continues to grow in revenue, especially as the current environmental climate and economy demands viable energy efficient money saving options. It is therefore something that will continue to have a heightened impact on the daily lives of installers.

"Following the launch of our first dedicated renewable energy branch, which opened in 2008, the appointment of a dedicated Product Group Manager was the next logical step in rolling out this successful formula to other regions in the country.
