West Sussex is going green according to a plumbing and heating merchant on Western Road in Haywards Heath which is seeing success after supplying to various energy efficient projects across the region.

Roland Gibson of Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS) in Haywards Heath teamed up with Surrey-based ISO Energy in February 2007 to supply NIBE ground-source heat pumps to the Company which specifies and installs the green products. The pumps supplied by PTS have been used in large country homes and been sent to architects and housing developers for public buildings such as schools and offices.

Roland Gibson, Renewable Energy Contracts Co-ordinator, said: "Our success in providing renewable energy products is based on the high uptake in the West Sussex area. This demand shows that the region is ahead in this new technology and as such we are looking forward to another successful year. Our partnership with ISO Energy has worked well so far, with support from my base at the Haywards Heath branch and delivery of the NIBE heat pumps from PTS Crawley."

Justin Broadbent at ISO Energy, added: "PTS has exceeded our expectations in being helpful and supportive on all of the projects they have helped us with. Renewable energy is certainly becoming more popular, the demand for heat pumps is currently rising by 100% each year with new legislation meaning it is now commonly featured in new build schemes and in the redevelopment of public facilities such as schools. There are currently lots of projects going on in the area and we have found an ideal partnership with NIBE and PTS."
