Heating Controls and Circulating Pumps

PTS provide various domestic heating controls and circulators from the leading brands within the industry.

Programmers and Time Clocks
These allow homeowners to set their heating and hot water requirements to their own personal preferences. It is possible to have the hot water and heating to come on independently or together at a predetermined times each day if required.

Room Thermostats
These monitor the temperature of a room and control the boiler's heating function. They are set to a predetermined temperature and will maintain this comfort condition. Programmable thermostats are available to change the preset temperatures at certain times of the day or night.

Cylinder Thermostats
Will monitor the temperature in a stored hot water cylinder and will either call for additional heat to increase the temperature or to turn off the control valve to prevent overheating and possible scalding when some one turns on a tap.

Zone and Mixing Valves
These are situated in the heating pipe work and are connected to a control device such as a room or cylinder thermostat. They open and close to allow more or less heated hot water through as required.

Thermostatic Radiator Valves
These are connected to a radiator to control the flow of hot water into the radiator. As the room heats up to a preset temperature, the valve will gradually close reducing the amount of heat given out. As the room requires more heat, the valve opens allowing more hot water in to the radiator which gives out more heat.

Manual Radiator Valves
These are used to control the water flow and isolate radiators. We have large stocks of angled or straight pattern in various finishes from chrome with white handle to fully chromed plated to suit towel warmers.

Thermostatic Mixing Valves
These are a requirement in most commercial applications to prevent scalding from over heated hot water. They are installed to individual basins, baths etc and mix the hot and cold water to provide a maximum temperature from the hot tap which would not cause harm to an individual. They are widely used in hospitals, children's nurseries and retirement homes. PTS can provide straight or angled pattern options to suit different applications. Heating System Circulating Pumps
These are used to circulate heating or domestic hot water round commercial or domestic pipe work. These include standard inline domestic heating pumps to the very latest energy efficient variable speed models which match the heating load to the system's requirement. A range of commercial heating circulators is also stocked for larger projects.
