Gas Boilers

Gas Boilers are available in a range of models and heat outputs. Most boilers are available in either natural gas or propane: PTS stock brands from the leading manufacturers.

Heating only, open vent
These are either wall hung or floor standing and provide heating and hot water via a storage cylinder to all sizes of homes. They generally require an open vent and a feed and expansion cistern in the loft.

Combination
This system provides instant hot water without the need for a storage cylinder and central heating from a single appliance. Available in various sizes, some with integral hot water storage buffers to suit different family needs. This system would not require a cistern in the loft and most boilers are wall hung.

Heating only, sealed system
This type of boiler has the same attributes as heating only, open vent but does not require a feed and expansion cistern in the loft as the system is pressurised utilising a sealed system vessel either integral or external to the boiler.

Storage
This system is generally a floor standing appliance which provides central heating and a plentiful supply of hot water and suitable for homes where there is a high demand for hot water.

Back Boiler (BBU)
This boiler is generally sited behind a gas fire and provides the home owner with the same system as heating only.
