PTS’ ambition is to be recognised as the best distributor of domestic plumbing and heating products to the Contracts market. Our unique business model works for our customers to create value through unbeatable service and competitive prices.
To ensure we continue to provide the best service, we asked our customers what was most important to them and how we can support them in our working partnerships. We have been using their feedback to guide us where to make some significant investments;
Safety as a top priority, delivering the right environment for colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Training for our colleagues across the business to ensure we have the right knowledge and skills in place to meet our customers’ needs quickly and efficiently.
A strong commercial team to work closely with leading manufacturers so that we can offer our customers the latest product innovations and the best range of market leading brands at competitive prices.
The industry’s largest and most experienced Estimating and Account Management teams, now supported by 5 Regional Services Centres, all ready to serve our customers when and where needed.
An improved national branch footprint for fast, efficient delivery, with over 400 collection points across the joint branch network of PTS and our sister company City Plumbing Supplies.
1.3 million square feet of central storage capacity with more than 25,000 products available for next day delivery anywhere in the UK.
A bespoke range of drop-box supply options and an 8am-8pm service for spares.
Purchase cards to give you easy access to the wider Travis Perkins Group and the broadest product range in the industry.
Systems to improve all stages of the Quote to Invoice process including EDI, Electronic Proof of Delivery, On Time In Full reporting and a fully auditable returns process.
All of this enables our team at PTS to provide our customers with what they really want;
- That we are easy to do business with by giving a fast and effective service, expert advice and support.
- That we remain consistent – Minimising the risk of failure by having robust processes and being there to sort it out if things don’t go to plan.
- That we add value by supporting our customers’ businesses beyond providing leading brands at competitive prices.
PTS’s story began back in 1999 when we were first established as one of the UK’s largest plumbing and heating suppliers through the merger and acquisition of PTS Group Limited and BSS Zenith.
In 2006 Spendlove C Jebb was acquired to introduce PTS into Ireland. Spendlove C Jebb currently have six branches and one RDC in Northern Ireland and one branch in Southern Ireland.
Most recently in 2010 PTS, as part of the BSS Group plc, was acquired by Travis Perkins plc. A group proud to have helped build Britain for over 200 years, working together for our customers whilst maintaining our strong family values.
